*Cameras open to Nick sitting on the dock of his summer cabin in Penticton, British Columbia staring confused back at the cameraman as trusted beat writer Ribbi Shibbi is seen climbing from the lake up onto his dock. You can see Nick mouth what appears to be a “What the fuck” as Ribbi stands up smiling & begins talking*

Ribbi: Nick Foligno, Friend of the show & newest member of the Chicago Blackhawks WELCOME!
Absolutely thrilled to be here Nick! Thank you for opening your cottage to us for this interview today!

Nick: Who the hell are you... And why are you climbing out of the lake onto my dock…

Ribbi: You didn’t get the memo? My name’s Ribbi Shibbi & I represent Blackhawks Media! We’ve started doing features on the newest & brightest members of the franchise as we get closer to training camp this season.

*Nick stares at Ribbi with a look of utter confusion upon his face. Unsure we see Nick rustle in his pocket for what appears to be his cell phone. He begins swiping & typing something as Ribbi stands staring with the most puzzled smile upon his face*

Nick: Newest member of the Blackhawks?

Ribbi: Yessir! Hot off the press we’ve got the exclusive story on you inking your 1yr deal with the Hawks & wanted to touch base & gauge excitement, thought & of course what brought you to wanting to join this up & coming franchise at this stage of your career.

Nick: Oh right.. I did sign that contract last night... Well, it’s not often you get an opportunity to play for an original 6 team let alone this being the 3rd club I’ve had the chance to do so for along the way. Boston, Toronto & Chicago is kind of cool to know in a few years when it’s all said & done, I can look at those 3 jerseys & say “I played for those guys”. Is Chicago a playoff team? No not now but when you look at the make up of the roster & what GM Jacklin is doing you can see there is a path towards success laid out here. Coming off a great draft I feel like I can step into this line up & help really show these guys what it takes to be a regular NHL player in the modern age of the game. I know it’s only a 1yr deal but if I can impact these guys the way I had help early on in my career then I will have accomplished another amazing feat in my career. Heck as the year goes on maybe I can elevate & show other clubs that I’m still potentially worth adding into a stretch run for the post season when the opportunity arises. Plus? Have you SEEN how many Pizza places are in Chicago? I’m ready for some DEEP DISH!

*Before Nick can even respond Ribbi is gone. Swan diving into the lake he climbed out of only a short time ago & once again he’s left staring as the man with 2 rubber ducky floaties on his arms paddles away towards the middle of said lake. As the camera fades to black you suddenly here off in the distance*
