O'Hare Don't Care

*Our scene opens to the ever busy & bustling O’Hare Airport in downtown Shytown. A man can be seen waiting at the luggage carousel as bags slowly drop into the pickup area… Suddenly a heavy thud is heard followed by a “Well that 1st step was a doozy” causing everyone to turn & stare. Sure, enough it was Chicago beat reporter & legend Ribbi Shibbi dropping right down into that carousel. The crowd looks on in utter confusion as Ribbi stands up & dusts himself off before an obvious gigantic smile is seen across his face as he yells in excitement*

Ribbi: TYLER!!! I knew I’d find you here!

*Confused “Tyler” looks up from his phone at this mysterious individual*

Tyler: And who the hell are you?

*Ribbi quickly extends a hand forward*

Ribbi: Names Ribbi Shibbi! Chicago’s ace reporter on the scene breaking the stories whenever I can get my foot in the door! Well, into the luggage corral this time round. Welcome to our beautiful city Tyler Bertuzzi! Happy you could join the organization at this pivotal time!

*Tyler stares even more confused as he shakes Ribbi’s hand & a smile comes across his face*

Tyler: Uh thanks Ribbi. Little unorthodox way to go about things but here you are now & it’s my pleasure to meet you as well join the franchise.

Ribbi: Big things to come is 1 way of putting it sir! Let’s get right too it then shall we! What brought you to signing with the club?

Tyler: Well to go from New Jersey where the end of the season we ultimately fell short was a rough go. Devils are a fantastic organization with a HUGE future ahead of them, but I felt overall it was time for me to make a big gamble on myself since it was my 1st real chance at Free Agency. When I met with GM Jacklin & the rest of upper management, listened to their overall plan it felt like the right place to really establish myself. I love some of the high-end talent in the prospect pool, on the roster & of course to wear that original 6 team logo is very cool & not something that everyone has a chance to do in their career.

Ribbi: Brilliant! Simply brilliant!!! If you could be so bold as to give us 1 thing you are most excited for ahead of the regular season, what would it be?

Tyler: Honestly, it’s just going to be meeting the guys, get a good camp in ahead of pre-season. Couple slices of the deep dish if the trainers will let me & then it’s just about getting to work. I want to show these younger guys like Leo, Nazar, Del Maestro & of course young Bowen.

*Suddenly a bag drops down the chute with a thud & what sounds like a verbal “ouch” as it hit the corral. Tyler’s eyes shift towards Ribbi who is staring back in confusion. Tyler smirks, leans forwards & can be seen mouthing “Oh that’s mine” as he quickly picks up the bag & puts it onto one of his carts where a bag & hockey sticks were already bundled together. Before Ribbi can even get another word in Tyler nods & begins walking away. Our cameras capture the bag physically moving as Tyler lean’s down & the mics pick up a “shh they’ll know”. Cameras spin back to Ribbi who is now looking confused, scared & nervous*

Ribbi: Well... I showed up via the luggage deposit & I have no idea what just happened nor what Mr. Bertuzzi just picked up from the carousel, but it was indeed moving & he was talking to it... Unless I am losing my mind... For the Blackhawks I am one confused Ribbi Shibbi & we’ll catch up with everyone whenever the hell I figure out what the heck just happened.

*The camera scales back as Ribbi is seen walking away talking to himself continuing to try & process exactly what he just saw. As it fades out the Blackhawks logo is left upon your screen*
