Where in the World Juniors are your favorite prospects?
2023-12-26Hey all,
It's my favorite time of year, WJC time. As per normal, I have looked at every roster in the WJC and broken down which KPHL team has the most representatives (I'll do the same for the STHL and RHL as well).
Leading the way with a stunning 11 prospects, representing approximately 12% of all drafted prospects, are the San Jose Sharks. They lead the way with 4 firsts (McGroarty, Edstrom, Bystedt, Ostlund) and 3 seconds (Havelid, Strbak, Sopaliv) in the tournament. He's done this by prioritizing his European scouting, with 9 of his 11 WJC prospects being from the friendly confines of Europe.
Washington (8) and Arizona (7) round out the top 3.
Those with 0 are Buffalo, Calgary, Dallas, New York Rangers, and the Vancouver Canucks.
Undrafted by KPHL but drafted by NHL teams and in WJC:
Kalle | Kangas | D | PIT |
Oiva | Keskinen | C | CBJ |
Jiri | Kulich | C | BUF |
(No one was drafted by us and is in the WJC by my calculations)
How many do you have? Look below and check my work in the attached file.
